Genetical chances for redhead?

So my great grand mother has red hair, along with my great aunt and second cousin. The rest of my family is blonde and brunette.
My baby's father doesn't know his fathers family but on his mothers side they're all blonde. He is blonde and so am I.
I had a dream last night that my baby came out with bright red hair and it made me wonder. What do you ladies think the chances are of my son being a redhead?

I love red hair but the only person in my family with red hair is my grandpa on my moms side. And almost all of us have a tinge of auburn in our dark brown hair it's really pretty. On my dad's dude it's all either medium brown to blonde. My dad has blonde.. My husbands family all have brown hair but my husband has random red and blonde beard hair and blonde arm hair. I'm almost positive my baby will have dark brown curly hair I'm pretty excited for it though :)

I love red hair. 3 of my children have a beautiful shade of auburn. My hair is dark brown and hubby's is a medium brown. The red hair gene can carried down from many generations.

Wyattsmom...i hope the next kid you have has red hair. Try calling your own kid very ugly.   How superficial.  It's a freaking  hair color. That doesn't determine  beauty.

My daughter came out with redsh brown hair I want her to have red hair so bad. It runs in my dad's family. Both my Aunts are gorgeous with red hair. I'm sorry but everyone is beautiful in their own way. To say sonething like that is very rude and very inconsiderate.

My husband is a red head, and he has red heads on his dad's side. I am blonde and my grandma, 3 cousins, great aunt and great great grandmother are all red heads. The rest are all burnets- to say the least I sure would love for our first baby to have such pretty red or even strawberry blonde hair!!! :)

Red hair runs in my family and I worried so bad that my kids would have red hair. I am so happy I have not had that problem but if you want your baby to have red hair more power to Ya and better you than me. No offense I just don't like red hair. If you get stuck with red hair you are either very pretty or very ugly there is no between and the chances of being very pretty are slim. Even if you yourself are very pretty with red hair does not mean you will have a child who is also blessed with the looks.

The odds of red hair are strange. If you have red hair in your family it will not follow any pattern. It kinda just pops up out of no where at random.

Well I'm a read head both of my parents had brown hair and one of my brothers came out blonde and the other brunette the only other person on my family with hair hair was my great grandmother on my dad's side. So there's always a possibility just depends on how strong the genes are :)

It'll only happen if he carries the recessive gene for red hair. I hope you get what you want!
