HPT test inaccuracy?

Hello!
I am now 2 days late on my period. I took a hpt that turned out negative. My cycle's a little longer than most girls, and I'm wondering if there's a chance the test wasn't accurate because of that and when should I try testing again if my period still doesn't come? Thanku!

hi. there is the possibility of the test being inaccurate because it was a bit early.. the cycle length shall not effect it.. test again when u are at least 7 days late for your periods from your expected date with the first morning urine sample.. that will give you a more accurate result.. good luck.

Most suggest you just give it another two days before you test again, but I would think that you may have just ovulated later this month and it has delayed your period.
