The orange juice and milk does not work. I tried it. All it did was give me cramps.

I did this my first pregnancy and I had diarrhea and vomited at the same time. My water didn't break for 3 days. But my mom's swears by it. She have the harsh symptoms like I did. I also hear half a cup of 100 % orange juice and half cup of 2 hole milk mixed.

Food does not go through the placenta. Your food dies not get in your bloodstream and the placenta is how you pump blood to baby. The nutritional substances in the food vitamins and fat content is removed by the acids in your stomach when food is digested. Once removed from the food it is absorbed by your body.

There is nothing in castor oil to be absorbed by the body. It causes bowel movement by lubeing up your digestive tract as in the intestines and poop and causes it to slide through easier. It can cause diarrhea in some who are sensitive because your body does not absorb the fluid before the oil causes your intestines to empty.

What about food? That still goes to the placenta? How is it different for oil because it's still ingested the same way.

The oil doesn't get into your blood stream there for doesn't pass the placenta. I took it and had a wonderful labor
