liam is a great name and cute. Harry comes off as someone in the older generation bracet and when pronouncing it, it sounds like you're saying hairy.LOL. Stick with Liam :)

Ha!  Lol. Didn't think of it that way.  Robin is DH's grandad and I was trying to find a combination that his name sounded good in.

Guess I can scratch that one off the list!

I am trying to tie the middle name in with family somehow. James was my maiden name and John is DH's middle name as well as his grandads...

But I agree- Liam Jamison sounds better.

I also love Liam, but DH still prefers Harry (I'm hoping he will come round).
But luckily, with an Australian accent it doesn't sound like hairy!

I love the name Harry and it is so trendy at the moment.... not old at all! Harry James got my vote but then i dont like Liam so i probs would have picked most things over that hehe!

Well, I'm a dorky Harry Potter fan, and Harry's full name is Harry James Potter...that was my first thought when I saw that name, lol.
So as much as I like the sound of Harry James, because of nerdy Potter fans like me, my vote would be Harry John so he wouldn't always be associated with a popular fictional character. Just my thoughts...
I like the name Harry more than Liam because it's not as popular as Liam.

How about switching it around...James Harry, Robin Harry or John Harry.   Even if you call him by the name Harry.  He could have the initials like "J. Harry W****" or         "R. Harry W***"  I think that sounds very sophisticated.  Two of my kids are called by their middle names.  That way if someone who isn't australian says HARRY it won't sound like they're saying "Hairy James"

i'm from australia too but live in Canada and yes us aussies pronounce it as it looks but the way the folks over here say it, it sounds like HERRY or HAIRY lol. Liam is more modern. Tell him it's Liam and that it's FINAL! Since you are the one that is going to give birth to him (all that pain) that unless he starts birthing babies he has to allow the name to be something other than Harry lol too funny. He so has to let you have your way on this way! Good luck :)~

Alot of ppl gave me grief over the names I'd picked for my son. I changed it all the time because everyones opion bothered me. I wish I'd never told anyone what I was going to name him, next time I know better. Now we are naming him after his father and instead of junior we are putting him as the second, I want to call him Dos for a nickname and now ppl are making fun of that. I nicely let them know he is our baby and if they don't call him what we asked then they can simply not call his name at all. Good luck and I hope you don't let ppl get to you like I do.
