Well make a list of all the questions you have so you don't forget.
What do they supply you with?
Can you bring birthing props(birthing ball, birthing stool...etc)?
Can you shower or bathe while in labor?
Do they have squatting bars?
Do they allow other birthing positions?
Can you drink in labor?
Will they let you move around?
How many people they allow in delivery room?
Visiting hours?
How long you'll be there for?
If you can be there for all baby's tests? If not you then your partner?
That's all I can think of right now. At my maternity tour I was the only one asking questions
Me too Erica! And I was the youngest lol im 25 next month. Only other couple that asked any questions were the parents of 3 lol it's like the others were clueless :-( those were great questions! I will add the questions do they offer delayed cord clamping, and can the first bath be fine in your room by you and your partner at a time of your choosing. The longer you wait to actually bathe baby the better. The stuff they are born with on their skin soaks in and is very healthy for their skin :-)
ThanK you so much cecilia_Morgan and ericatoday these questions are so helpful I m ftm. And 22 years old. Had no clues about all this stuff. You really help me I appreciate it truly.
