How long will they let me go past due date?!

So my mom jinxed me by saying I'll be 2 weeks late and god knows I can't handle a 42 week pregnancy.
I'm due July 24th
She's banking on the baby coming August 8tg

It depends on your health and dr. Some Dr is induce for no reason.  A good Dr will do what's best for baby. With my first I was induced 2 days before my due date bc of my blood pressure. My Dr took my cerclage out early bc I was showing signs of labor . with this pregnancy my cerclage won't be taken out until 37 weeks unless I go into labor again  (it was stopped 3 times at 33 weeks) so unless something medical happens my Dr won't induce you can ask your doctor to but it's best to let baby make that decision.

I went till 40+5 with my first and 40+6 with my second.. both times when I went to my 40 week appointment, doctor said I could choose to be induced a week or two later but if I waited for the two week induction there's always a little higher risk. For both I was scheduled an induction at 41 weeks but one came two days before and the other a day before on their own. Lol good luck!

I don't know where the commenter above got her info but they most certainly will let you go to 42 weeks because that's hiw far along I was with both my kids before I was induced lol. It does depend on your doctor and your health tho. If you go past your due date, your doctor will wait for you to go into labor on your own as long as there is no danger to you or your baby. If your doctor feels it isn't safe to let you wait any longer, he will discuss inducing the baby with you. I wanted to be induced at 41 weeks but my doctor insisted that I wait since my blood pressure was perfect, the babies stress test was normal and the heart rate was strong so wait i did :( Good luck! And if you do carry past your due date just be prepared for weekly check ups and stress tests for your baby.

They will not leave your baby in that long but if it's your first baby sum women go past there due date because every woman body is different. Good luck to you hope you have him on time. I'm due July 18th with my 5th baby.
