How many is your limit?

Just wondering how many kids everyone thinks is enough? I'm not trying to start a "XX many kids is way too many and you're crazy to have them" debate...just wondering what your limit is.

I told DH 2 or 4, I wouldn't have just 3. I want 4 but I don't know when we'll get to number 3 let alone number 4...

Pregnant with number 3. Havnt decided either way about number 4. Yes we could afford it, already have the mini-van, Honda Odyssey. (Best car ever) House is big enough for 4 kids. I am soon to be 30 and not really sure about the being pregnant again. Not a problem looking after them when they are here just HATE being pregnant.

I have always dreamed of having 5.  To me, that is a "big family", which is what i've always wanted.  I haev 4 now, and I am lobbying hard for #5. =)

I voted five which I would only want if I could afford them all & have the time to give them all the love they each deserved. I have one son now (6 months) and I love him! I know I atleast want a girl so we will def have atleast one more..but ideally I want 4-5 :) I was one of three and it was fun but I think having another so there wasnt always an odd number would have been nice!

Thats how my malibu is, it fills up for cheap but it runs out fast. i think.. i dont know if its cause DB drives so far away or what, but i have to fill up every couple days.. it *****...  i wish gas would go down.. i swear ill die if it ever reaches 4 dollars. it reached 3 something here once and that was so tragic!!!  ill invest in a bike if I have too, since I wont be working, i wont have anywhere to go, so i can just ride a bike, it might help burn all this fat, from my obsession with Taco bell :) lol

oh and gas here is about 2.65...it takes me 51 dollars to fill up my audi...but man that thing has d a m n good gas mileage. we got from alabama to north carolina and drove around northa carolina for 4 days on ONE tank of gas. we didn't fill up until we were leaving north carolina. i think that has to do with it being a manual.
DH's blazer costs 60 to fill up and i drove it 1 hr and 45 minutes of HALF a tank of gas.

im with ammanda. i only want one.
i never wanted kids to begin with; ariana was a surprise. i love her to death, she is my little blessing from God. but i was never the woman that wanted to be a SAHM or a mom period. no offense to anyone that is; it's just not my thing. i want to be a career woman.
i always envisioned just me and DH together. traveling and going out and not having any responsibilities other than us. just us, the rest of our lives. im still grieving the loss of that to this day, as we never had the honeymoon stage; i was prego when we married.
he wants a son. really bad. and i dont want another child at all. i have no desire for another kid. i told him the other day i cannot conceive a baby just because he wants one. not that im not willing to sacrifice for him, but a sacrifice like that is dangerous. i told him if the new child every gave us trouble, i could end up resenting the child or DH...because i never wanted it to begin with. i KNOW how truly awful that sounds, but i am human, and im just saying i COULD feel that way in my own sinful nature. no doubt i would love the baby, but i dont want another CHILD.
i know ill get baby fever. i know ill miss having a little baby. me and DH discussed fostering a baby when that happens. im not going to try to conceive just because i want a BABY...because i know i wont want a CHILD. if that makes sense. so we could foster a baby; and love on the baby that has no parents. and in turn i'd get my baby "fix."
as far as cars; i have a little audi a4...and i LOVE it. i'd never ever ever ever ever ever trade it in for anything bigger than another little sports sedan. i couldn't drive a minivan (no offense) OR an SUV. i like my little stick shift. :)

Gas here is 2.65.  The highest it's been in awhile is 2.69.  I guess I feel fortunate now looking at ya'lls gas prices.  Takes me about $50-55 to fill up my expedition.  DH can fill up his little Mistubishi truck for $29.

Thats part of the reason i love my mom's mini van compared to my older SUV i had, her van is a 09' toyota uhh whatever the van they make is LOL and at around 2.90 a gallon 40 fills it! and if were just running around town itll last us about a week with me and DH using it and her using it with my brothers.

Yeah and the snow thing, i'm definitely not looking forward to bring a newborn home in the dead of winter here, Especially because we live about 50 miles from Chicago and its called the Windy city for a reason! The wind comes off lake michigan and the wind chill is  almost 10 degrees colder then the actual temp! it can be 40 but if the wind is blowing it feel slike 30! BRRR. I miss living in southern california lol

I said 4 cause thats all i can imagine at the age of 20 and were already going on number 2. So we have time, who knows if thats what we'll still want at 30. When DS and DD will be older.

I'm working on selling it, but I'm really trying to avoid a car payment. I just paid off my car in February, and I hate to go back to having a car payment, especially since we'll have to pay for daycare next year (my parents are only watching Braeden for the first year)  Anyone want a car? lol

LOL I used to tease the crap out of my mom dubbing her "Mad Mama in a Minivan" it was soo nice when she retired it for the Suburban she now drives. I swore I would never drive a minivan like their old one, the Tot Bus. YUCK :0)

Since I have no intention of carrying on her "broodmare" instints, an SUV will suit me just fine. I'm particularly fond of the Pathfinder, Tuscon, Tahoe, Yukon, and the eco friendly Escape Hybrid. Hubby has a crew cab pick up so I'm sure space won't be an issue.

I'm currently driving an 08 Aveo, which will be fine with the one I'm currently expecting (due Jan) and will probably upgrade to the SUV of my choice next summer or later.

I say drive what makes ya comfy, and if that wood paneling makes you feel fancy, go for it mamas! :0) LOL

Ammanda- you crack me up! 2.80 is nothing! Its almost $4s here! And gas is a big reason we want a minivan, and space. Its an 8hr drive to see DB family! We are going next month and I'm dreading it! I have a tiny little saturn! I'm so ready for something new!

I voted 3, but I'll probably only have one more. I have a stepdaughter, so if I have 2 biological, that makes it 3!  I've always wanted a big family but money makes it an issue, plus DH is already 45, and we want at least 2-3 years in between kids, so that makes it hard too.

I only have 1 child so far, and I'm already looking for a minivan!  I don't know how you ladies get by with just a car. Braeden already has SOOO much stuff that we have to take with us whenever we go anywhere.  I think part of the reason I'm ready to go straight to a minivan though is because I have a 2 door car right now, and I am SO finished with trying to get him in and out of the backseat!  I want my carseat at arm level now!

Yeah snow isn't a big issue here either LOL.  It snowed here last year...so much..that my kids were able to SCRAPE together enough to make a foot tall snowman LOL.  That was the first snow we've had in this area since anyone can remember.  I live mini vans but have found that suburbans have the most cargo room of any 8 seater vehicle I have seen.
