She's finally here ! Baby Ellie made her grand entrance into the world at 11:31 am November 3rd ( her EDD)
I started to get some regular contractions about 11pm the night before , by 2am they were 4 mins apart lasting 40 seconds but they weren't too painful, we decided to head to the hospital to get checked out , we arrived at the hospital about 3am , I was still 0cm dilated but almost fully thinned out so they addmitted me for monitoring , the pains kept coming regularly but didn't get any stronger , at 8:20 am I stood up to walk around and my waters broke , as soon as my waters broke the pains got extremely strong , at 9 am was 2cm dilated and was transferred to a delivery suite , I had planned on having an epidural but the labour progressed too quickly by 10:50 I was 8 cm , it was so tough I really didn't think I was goin to be able to do it with no pain management but the midwife said it was too late baby was coming , at 11:25 it was time to push , our little princess was in a hurry to meet us because after only 6 mins of pushing she was here weighing 8 pounds 4oz ! I'm so proud of myself I still can't believe I gave birth to such a big baby with no pain meds ! But it was so worth it ! She's beautiful , and the recovery was so much easier and faster than when I had the epidural last time , which made my first 24 hours with my newborn much more enjoyable !
