Sorry to hear about your situation JBontheway!! Sounds very similar to mine. I'm now 21 weeks & in the process of switching doctors, and also because their hospital has a better NICU in case something were to happen early. But I believe we all know our own bodies, & for us to feel so uneasy about this happening, out doctors should listen to us. You'd think their goal would be to keep the baby in there as long as possible! Good luck to you, keep me updated :)
I have more real contractions than braxton hicks too
I'm 31 weeks and I've been having braxton hicks and real contractions for 3 weeks now, I am 2cm dilated and soft. I went to the hospital Tuesday night and was having a lot of irritability and some big contractions. Last night i had some bleeding and contractions so i went back to the hospital. They monitored me for a while and I was having real contractions steady 4 mins apart for a couple hours but they said it wasn't making me dilate anymore than I already was, so it wasn't labor. The doc sent me home. I have a 10(almost 11) month old so with all these contractions I have a hard time. The doc didn't put me on bed rest but another doctors opinion is that I definitely should be considering my son was born early and I'm high risk. My doctor just doesn't seem as concerned as I wish he was. I wanted to atleast stay over night in the hospital last night to keep monitored, I've still been having all the same stuff. I think i am going to go into labor soon. My doc told me a week ago that he thinks I will in a couple weeks, so I don't know why he isn't more concerned about me already having so much contractions and stuff, its q every
Make sure you drink plenty of water...hope you find out what's wrong and feel better soon.
Saw a different doctor in the same office. Told me to stay off my feet. Go back in 2 weeks to get checked again. Cervix was still closed at least. Hopefully I know more in 2 weeks & something can be done. But at least for now I'm directed to stay off my feet completely.. Rather some sort of action be taken than nothing at all.
If you aren't sure about what your doctor is doing then if I was you I would go to the er and see what they say. Don't play around with this. If it is per labor they should be able to give you something to stop the contractions. Good luck and I hope it truly turns out to be nothing.
