I keep getting dizzy, disoriented, sickness and diahorrea..??

I'm about 23 weeks pregnant, my second pregnancy. I've been through the morning sickness etc with both my pregnancies but something has been going on recently; usually as I'm falling asleep I start getting extremely dizzy, disoriented and like I'm on the verge of passing out, then come the extreme stomach cramps. (I'd actually rather go through labour pains than these cramps) they are so painful they make me shake and unable to talk, I rush to the toilet as I start to feel sick and I vomit forcefully until my stomach is empty, and there is a lot that comes up, lots of undigested food etc. Then once that's calmed down, the other end starts and I have the most horrific diahorrea, it's endless and like water and I get the worst shakes like my body has gone into shock. This has happened 5 times now over the past few weeks, a pharmacist told me it sounds like indigestion but I'm not convinced. I know pregnancy can do awful things to your body but this actually really scares me and last time it happened I nearly had my partner call me an ambulance as the pain was so unbearable. Has anyone had this or know what it could be? Thanks so much for taking the time to read and answer!

I agree with SpecialMom.  You need answers.

Since this happens when you lay down at night,  it sounds like it might be unrelated to pregnancy,  and may be Proximal Vertigo.   Does the room appear to be spinning?   I had proximal vertigo ONCE,  and never want to have it again.  Check out the link and see if it sounds like it might apply - it's surprisingly common,  and benign although it's AWFUL when it happens.  At any rate,  you need to contact your doctor.

Sweetie, this does NOT sound like something you shouldn't have your doctor involved in.  Being sick like that can at the very least dehydrate you and while pregnant, you need to be hydrated.  And the cramping, etc.  It sounds really bad!  I'm a little worried to be honest.  Has this been going on long? It's not something like a virus, is it?  There is something called hyperemesis gravidarum. They will help you with diet decisions to combat it if they think this is what is going on as well as they will likely give you medication.  I would check in with your doctor immediately about this though.  I want you to make it full term with this baby and these symptoms worry me.  Let me know how you are doing, hon. hugs
