Yeah we know you got issues! lol But I am going to what I can While I can!
Girl I'm sitting at work, feet under my desk, pumps on, and have a mean strut to go with 'em. :) Wear them while you have the chance b/c when it's time to give 'em up it's time to give 'em up. It's best to find some low comfortable shoes and alternate. Go comfy all week and Friday; just b/c it's Friday and you made it through another week put your heels on!
There it is! :)
Ya'll know I'm CRAZY! (SMILE)
I think I can work it out and in my own time if I so choose or the doctor says other wise I will throw them in the back of the closet. I also think I am going to take a break from dancing, singing , and the things I can take a break from just temporarily until I feel I am rested up you know.
No I did not dance with the other two...I played sports with the first but I did not know I was pregnant. only thing with the second one was I sang in the choir. my edd june 16!
that's ok - it's nice to be asked q's that you can answer - it's the ones I can't that are a problem :) Seriously, I'm now travelling back to my disco queen days (way before I was saved)...anywhoo, I was the only 18 year old pregnant disco queen in town, and yes, it was in my heels - I was at my staff christmas party dancing in my stilettos 3 days before I gave birth. I must have had a wonderful sense of balance!!! I seriously don't know how I managed it. I know I caused a number of my co-workers great distress because I just didn't play by the rules LOL!!! Seriously, though, I really think situations like these are all about being wise and listening to your body. You probably aren't even showing yet and most likely don't feel physically heavier or bulky. I honestly don't think the baby is in any danger as long as you are in no danger of tripping or falling. Let me know how you go - oh, another idea is to invest in wedges - those lovely, dressy ones (not the casual cork type ones). Wedges provide a lot of support because they have a full base and the right shoe can look absolutely stunning with business attire. What do you think?
your welcome, just take one day at a time. You said this is your 3rd, right? Did you dance with the other two? When is your due date, I just realized we are both 5 weeks prego, my edd is June 18.
Thanks....but I don't think that's going to work he doesn't even think I can get out of bed on my own lol he is so over protective In a good way of course, It's just so funny though
Thanks again for your help
Depending on the type of dancing, but I think you should be fine, however, that is a question you could ask your dr. But for now just tell your hubby it's your way of getting exercise! :o)
Funny thing I can't remember! But I really don't think so If I did they weren't as high as I wear now though. I work in an office so when I am working I am dressed business casual you know so I feel the need to wear the heels and then when I am not at work I am at church. My fiancee is complaining about my heels he doesn't want me to dance....I praise dance at my church and he wants me to stop...so I will wear my heels for as long as I am comfortable.. Do you know anything about the dancing though? Sorry for all the ?s
you're going to be fine - sometimes people mean well but they don't realise that their opinions are not necessarily fact. As degriffdog said, it most likely is more to do with your balance and therefore is a safety issue from that perspective. I must say, in every article that I've read where a doctor is warning about the potential risks of heels, not once have I read that it could harm your baby. The other thing is you don't have to go 'cold turkey' - just have them going progressively lower as you get more pregnant. BTW, I notice that you've already had 2 babies. Did you wear heels throughout both those pregnancies?
thank you all my heels are just apart of me and it is going to be a struggle but I want whats best for me and my baby.
I don't think it's the heel that hurt your baby, it's because your equalibrium can be off which leads to falling, you should be fine for a while but when you start showing is when your gets more clumsy. Some woman even have dizzy spells when in early pregnancy and that could also cause you to loose your balance. Just take it one day at a time. Good luck.
oh, gosh! I was exactly the same when I was pregnant with my first child. It was the late 80's and stiletto courts were all the rage. I worked as a shop assistant in Kmart and so I was on my feet all day. I wore those heels till I gave birth and then straight after (having a pram to push was such a blessing 'cause it helped me balance better - LOL). Mind you, I WAS only 18 and VERY naive about my pregnancy. Seriously though, I don't know if heels can hurt the baby but I'm sure it does your back no good as you get bigger. Just check with your dr - no question is too silly for them to be able to answer. And if you have a good ob/gyn they will be more than willing to explain what is best for you and baby. BTW my daughter turned out fine - absolutely no problems in any area of her development. She is now approaching her 20th birthday and is an absolute joy. I hope that helps you. God bless you xx
i have heard of that, but really not know why. you are only 5w maybe when you get alittle farer you should put them away.
