I still have not got a doctor I'm 36 weeks!!! 1st baby I'm 26.

I'm very scared that my baby is gonna suffer as well as myself from not getting proper prenatal care, but there is no doctor that will see me.

Hi there,

Please go to your nearest emergency room today.  They must see you regardless of your ability to pay.  They will examine you and refer you to a doctor who will care for you and your baby, as well as the other resources you need.

They actually do turn you down that far along if you have no prenatal care due to liability. You could always transfer doctors with previous prenatal care but they typically don't want to take you as a new patient so far along. Also when you deliver without prenatal care some hospitals call cps and you may have to deal with them a little while. I would try to find a free clinic or something to see me that way you could tell the hospital you had some type of prenatal care.

If you had ultrasound,  you had a doctor.  Is there someone who can guide you through this - a sister,  an aunt,  a former teacher,  etc?

It seems somehow you are having difficulty advocating for yourself and getting this done.  It will be MUCH better for you,  when you arrive at the hospital for delivery,  if you have a doctor on record.

This does make sense. Where are you from? I have even switched doctors at 30+ weeks with no issues. They only can turn you down if you owe money and have no insurance but that doesn't stop a new dr from seeing you. They will ask questions as to why you haven't been to a doctor because hospitals see it as a sign of neglect when you are gonna have your baby and will then do drug tests and everything so please see a doctor and get some peace of mind.

Why won't a Dr see you? Have you looked into a midwife instead?
