I wasn't going to tell anyone but............

I can't keep it in..............

I got BFP on Sunday and I just checked again today and it's still BFP!!!

Right my LMP was 11/3 and my OPK said I ovulated on CD18. Then on CD46 my OPK said I was ovulating again. My AF never came. I went to Doc last Tuesday when AF was two weeks late and he said I couldn't have ovulated if no AF and to just wait. He also said there was absolutely no way I could test BFN if I was really preggers at such a late time. I disagreed but he was insistent and they don't do blood tests (for pregnancy) at my surgery so he couldn't check my blood. (I have spoken to Dept of Health about this an so far no one can give me a straight answer as to why I can't have a blood test for pregnancy or where I CAN go to get one)
Anyway my predicament is this, I am either 9 weeks pregnant and testing BFP very very late or I was only 8DPO when I tested Sunday and 10DPO today. That means my HCG is good as I have tested BFP early (see my pics for my Dark BFP line).
Either way I am WORRIED SICK and I wasn't going to tell anyone because I'd convinced myself If I breathed a word I would MC again but that's just ridiculous and I am bursting trying to keep it in.
I am booked in with different Doc tomorrow and I am going to demand a scan in three weeks to check my dates.

I'm thinking it was the second option because if I was alreayd pregnant surely my body would not have released another egg on CD46, what do you ladies think???

Well.... my gut feeling is you missed a period and still ovulated because I believe the OPK on CD46
In any case I wish you the very best. Good luck with your demands on the doctor for a scan in 3 weeks.

I have lost all faith in the NHS and I want to move to the USA!!

Okay, so I said I'd contacted the department of health about this blood test issue and they were not much help at all, they basically told me to move Doctors. Well I called the NHS helpline just now and they said that quantitative blood tests are done to monitor pregnancies that are failing or people who have had MC to make sure they are going back down to normal. I can deal with that, if you suspect you are pregnant but are testing BFN you just have to wait until your baby pops out!

So I asked the advisor what I should do at my Doctors tomorrow, Can I ask for a scan early because I don't know whether I am three weeks or further along. (over here the first scan is usually at 12 weeks and then one at 20 weeks). It was 8 weeks since my LMP (not nine as I thought). The advisor said that I am probably 8 weeks pregnant and they should book a scan ASAP. What basis does she have for this assumption, just because the rule book says you have to date a pregnancy from LMP???

Why am I bothered....I think that I would ideally like to go for my first scan when I can hear a heartbeat so I don't get freaked out. Can they actually tell if everything is okay any earlier???

I think maybe I am am just crabby at the moment.

I have read alot of post on here about women having problems with their doctor and I dont really understand what is going on my doctors have been really good about doing whatever whenever and even my midwife that I have been released to she is really good about answering questions or doing bloodwork, or even seeing you if you think something is wrong...I think its your body and you should know whatever you want to know and if you want a scan they should do it....especially if you have mc'd before.

Well if you're really not as far along as 8 weeks (but more like 3-4 weeks) then you probably won't see anything. Maybe a sac! But you definitely wouldn't be able to see a heartbeat. I would tell them to wait another few weeks just to make sure!!!

CONGRATS ON YOUR BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!

They typically don't schedule the first appointment until you are about 6 to 7 weeks along.  This way they can see the fetal pole and heartbeat.  Early on it's difficult to see anything but a sac.  I'm not sure if it's because you had a previous m/c that they would want to see you earlier.

THANKS EVERYONE - I am constantly smiling but very tired and eating anything I can get my hands on :(

I just been to see a Doc (different one) and he was much more helpful. He said maybe the second ovulation tests were picking up the pregnancy hormone instead of the LH. He said he has to date my pregnancy from my LMP which is 11/3 but will put a covering note on the letter to the hospital saying that I am unsure of my dates.

I don't think they will get round to booking my scan for about four weeks because they are dead slow. I think that I would want a scan around 6/6 s that I could definitely hear a heart beat so if they do book it any earlier I will say I am unavailable to delay it a bit.

This way if it was the earlier ovulation I would be 12 weeks and thre is no harm in not seeing the baby for 12 weeks is there??

There isn't any harm but I'd be an inpatient psycho if I had to wait that long.  I heard my son's heartbeat at 6.5 weeks.  Can't they schedule you any earlier?

I don't know, I'll have to wait to get the letter first. Usually I would be impatient but I'd rather be only 11DPO and testing positive so soon because that means my pregnancy is 'normal' but if everything is okay I would rather be 8 weeks because that's 8 weeks less stressing LOL.

I have been feeling symptoms for a few weeks but since Friday last week (before I tested) I have had nausea, back ache ( I thought I was getting the flu) and sore boobs (darker bigger nips) much worse than usual Oh and a runny nose and watery eye??? So I'm not sure if I would feel the symptoms this prounced yet if I was only 11DPO. I think you notice every twinge more if you know than when you dont though......

CONGRAAAAATS!!!!! i can see why you'd want to hold it! i'm known for mc's or just not getting BFP's at all....and i wouldnt let DF tell anyone till i knew for sure, that i was past the *m/c stage(12 weeks)*, but when i first found out i was already 11.3 so i said heck with it and blabbed!!!(although DF was upset, because he still thought i didnt want anyone to know?!)

Last time I was 7 weeks before I got my BFP and I M/C four days later when I went to Docs. This wa on the 8/2. I went to see the same Doctor today and refused an appointment tomorrow because it was 8/5!!! I proally won't feel comfortable til tomorrow now when I have survive the day I told the Doctor.....Bizarre.

Last time a few people said that I shouldn't tell people so early and they made it sound like it was my fault it happened because I had told people. My friend had two and the first time she kept it quiet and the second time she told people immediately because she said she had people asking her whether she was pregnant or not when she has just miscarried and it was hard.

Against her advice I am keeping it to myself but not because I think I will jinx myself because I found it hard to hear everyones comments/advice last time when they didn't really know what to say like 'Well at least you can get pregnant' or 'there must have been something wrong' or 'so at 7 weeks it was really a missed period' and these things crushed me and did not make me feel better. I decided last time 'well I won't bloody tell you next time until it is practically popping out'

Things can go wrong at any stage can they but I am very superstitious I don't think I will buy anything until the last minute.....

How far along are you now?? How come you didn't know until 11.3 ??
