I'm a little worried...

Hey everyone, I'm 13 weeks today and I've noticed some pain and was wondering if its normal.. its not really cramping.. I can't really describe it, I've been noticing it more on my left side, its on the inside of my hips, close to where the baby was found when we were looking for a heartbeat, it comes in waves, it just kinda happens and then goes away, sometimes its on the right side as well.. what is this????

Ok, the arguing is getting stupid...The bottom line is when someone posts a question everyone has the right to speak their opinion.

Danielle-just listen to your body-if you think something is serious, obviously call your OB.  BUT like I said before dont let the pregnancy pass you by...it goes by so quickly!  Enjoy every minute!

I`m 18 weeks and all the time I have those symptoms. I had 2 spontaneous abortions and  even I know that`s nothing serious I can`t be calm. Maybe my previous experience made me a less positive that I have been before.

Telling her to try and relax and enjoy her pregnancy can be done in a MUCH nicer.  No one said she's over stressing herself.  I come on here and ask questions but it doesn't mean i'm freaking out and stressing.  Yes, her baby IS doing just fine, but asking questions isn't going to harm that baby.  Stress from people jumping on her for asking questions can however.

Aside from that, just the fact you feel the need to tell ME to "calm my *** down" shows the type of person you are.  I think the only one getting really worked up over this is YOU.  That said.  I have no problems with YOU per say becuase I don't know you, but I think it was a little off base to jump on Danielle.  She's young and new to this,  I'm on my 7th pregnancy and still have worries and questions.  Don't be so quick to judge people.  It's  a lot easier said than done to just "relax" when you can't help but be scared of losing your child.  I lost two to miscarraige and one to stillbirth at 37 weeks.  I know what it's like to be scared and paranoid and worried.

I think it's safe to say we should just agree to disagree on this one.

its called round ligament pain, its the ligaments that hold your uterus in place streching because your uterus is growing up out of your pelvis, no worries hun!

During my early stages i had really bad pain all down my left side, so bad sometimes i could hardly stand. Went and got checked out, turns its just where my muscles are growing or something to do with the uterus, stopped paying so much attention once i knew baby was fine. I still get them now at 16 weeks, try not to worry too much.  If you feel really concerned contact local maternity unit they will check you over, just for your piece of mind. Good luck xxx

Wow, I am not going to start out being rude to people on this forum.. I do not believe that is the way to do things, especially if we are acting like adults.. and I really take offense to your comment.. stop and smell the roses and enjoy my "damn" pregnancy.. not a good choice of words.. VERY offensive to me. its hard to miscarry and its also have new things come up that I know nothing about.. as in RH Negative and not being given the shot after I had my first miscarriage when you are supposed to have one.. so yes that causes me to worry to.. I do think positive.. forgive me for being concerned and asking questions..

i dont think it is rude at all and like i said if you she spends all her time worrying when will she enjoy being pregnant..she can ask whatever she wants and i can and brookie can respond anyway we want she needs to enjoy the time she is pregnant Even her Dr. tells her that..Babies can feel stress and if its no cause to then WHY SHOULD SHE..No one is attacking her so you should just calm your *** down..no one said she cant post im glad she does post and a member like me is going to tell her to stop smell the roses and enjoy your damn pregnancy..and if you feel some kind of way about it let me tell you personally i can careless sweety..Im sure having m/c is a scary thing but she is going good so far i would try to put that out my mind unless the Dr told her she was heading that way its called laws of attraction..SHE NEEDS TO THINK POSITIVE!!

Ok first of all I think thatwas a bit rude of you brookie and sameerab.  While I understand that you are entitled to your opinions, Danielle is entitled to post any question she has...she is young and this is her first pregnancy that has gone this far.  Cut her some slack.  I don't know if either of you have had a m/c but it's not a pleasant experience and not everyone can just up and get over it and NOT worry the next time around.  She's not asking ignorant questions like "why are my vagina lips so saggy" so give her a break.  If you think her questions and concerns are off base that's your opinion but this a question and answer forum.  She's doing PRECISELY what this board is here FOR.  There's no limit to how many times a person can post.  Sheeeesh.  Atleast she IS concerned about this pregnancy and is doing what she can do ensure that it goes well.  Would you rather she be out drinking and doing drugs rather than asking questions?

I agree with Mom23angels...I felt my first flutter at 13 weeks. I didn't feel it again until about 15 1/2 weeks though. Sounds like you did feel your little one!

It could be, or you could have possibly felt your baby's first movements...

I was kinda wondering what it was.. I figured it had to do with stretching and such so I thought I'd ask.. I had the weirdest feeling yesterday.. I was sitting in MicroBiology Lecture.. and had this weird feeling.. it was like 3 little bubbles, on my right side, again on the inside of my hips, I felt another little bubble there a little bit after, is that gas bubbles?? I really don't know.. I'm just curious of what it is.. I don't really think it could be the baby since its my first pregnancy that has made it this far. I had a miscarriage at a little over 4 weeks.. what do you think?? just gas?? that'd be my guess

The pain you are probably feeling is either your ligaments stretching, or the baby is deciding to get comfy on your sciatic nerve.... It happened to me alot throughout my pregnancies.....

I had the same thing when I was 12-14 weeks and it turned out to be just ligament pains. Luv is right - right about then is when I started noticing my 'bump' protruding a bit more, too!

I've got the same thing and I'm almost 11 weeks but the dr said it's just the uterus stretching and not to worry to much.....and mine does it alot since I'm stretching for 2

No the pain doesn't double me over or anything.. I haven't had any bleeding or anything, I know you'll feel stretching and such which it kind of feels like, I guess i'm just a worrier, I've desperately wanted to carry this baby from day one, but now that I've heard the heartbeat and saw the baby I can't even describe how much I want the baby and everything to be okay..

it might be your ligaments stretching. I used to get pain around that time right by my hip bones and I would go to the doctor and they would tell me that I was just really starting to stretch....about 13 weeks and on you will notice your baby bump will really start to come out and you will have some stretching pain. I really think that is all it is. :-)

I don't know...but I'm 13 wks 2 days and I get really wierd pains, aches, pinches etc in random places all the time...it's probably just the ligaments stretching.  I wouldn't worry about it.  Unless of course its the type of pain that really doubles you over.
