I'm married to a sailor. I know how it feels to be alone. He just returned from a 9 month deployment and there's a chance he may leave for another soon and if he does, I'll be dealing with this pregnancy alone as well.  No worries girl,  it's hard at first but once you find a routine,  time will fly. Especially boot.

I live 20 minutes away from PI. You probably won't hear from him for the first 2 to 3 weeks. So don't get worried about it. They don't have time to write because of all the processing. Also date your letters when you send them cause sometimes they don't get them in the right order. I know it's hard hun. Just think though after this he will be a Marine! That's huge and so worth it. And you won't have to worry about housing or medical. Try to keep busy. Message me if you have any questions. My hubby has been in for over 8 years now so I have experience if you have any questions.

I always sent pictures when my hubby was in bootcamp for the Marines! Pictures are fine just don't spray perfume on them.... I only made that mistake once... he got teased so bad lol. I wrote him every single day and he said that's what made it bearable! It's he at Parris Island or San Diego?
