In SHOCK!!!
We had our 3D sonogram today. Mid-pregnancy we were told girl but today... we found out we are DEFINITELY having a BOY! I'm floored, shocked, excited and just shocked. After three princesses we're having our prince!
The technician said this is so rare for this to happen with our technology now and was just as excited as us! She kept grabbing my arm and grinning and laughing with us. My mother-in-law started jumping up and down and dancing. Everyone thinks we're trying to play a practical joke but we're not!
They were wrong at the first sono! Baby is a BOY! Eek!!!

Thanks C! Nursery isn't done yet. Zoë is still in there. We're playing Musical Rooms and switching everyone around. I did the big girls' rooms. Elaina has pink, blue and white (a zebra stripe/alternative theme). Abigail has a purple room with teal accents. Zoë's room will be moved to another room but will be shabby chic (pale pink, pale green and cream).
Baby boy's room... now that is one I'm stumped on! Going with blue walls but unsure on anything else.

Wow - this is exciting news. Hope you didn't paint his room pink yet! I know the feeling of the 3 princesses + a prince ..... it'll be terrific a wonderful family :) .. I didn't believe my last baby was a prince until he was born and the lifted him up and I saw him LOL.

Oh and poor baby boy has "Izaria" at the top of his sonogram picture. They put our last name as well so I blackened it out. But if you're on my FB you'll see the unedited photo. Of course we're not naming him Izaria. The sonogram tech put that on there before we started the sonogram and when we found out he was a boy I asked if she could edit that name out and she said she couldn't. Oh well! He'll have a fun story when he's older!
Emmie - I'm not a big crier so no tears! Just lots of laughter and utter shock. I MIGHT cry at the birth but who knows. I haven't cried at any of my births. I just laugh and giggle! Guess that suits my name, LOL!
CNJ- that's funny you had a dream about me! I sometimes have dreams of random MedHelp ladies, too. Some of them are on Facebook with me so I know them a little more personally and know what they look like so maybe that is why.
Lindsey - isn't that crazy?! I rarely hear about this happening these days! This actually happened to my oldest brother. He and his wife (now ex-wife) were told GIRL and they found out at the birth that it was a BOY! That was almost 2 decades ago though.

I had a dream MONTHS ago that you were going to have a boy!!! So when it came back that you were having a girl, I was bummed but still excited for you! LOL!

LOL Amy! Did you see my blog post on names? Caiden was a first name we were going to use a long time ago and now considering Liam. Everyone is just tired of the Michaels and Davids and the other names that have sat at the top of the name charts for the past several decades I guess!
So exciting! this has made me want to get a 3d ultrasound to find out.... But I really want to save the money so i am resisting so hard at dialing the number....
If my baby is a boy, we are going to name it Isaac. havent settled 100% on a middle name but thinking maybe Thomas after my dad.. we will see. I never was a huge fan of the name Isaac but then my husband suggested it and I have been looking at boys names and Isaac just seems to be the one that is working for me.

Joy- I think we chatted before how my husband is also a worship leader. I thought for sure we would be doing a music themed nursery for our boy but we decided to do a firetruck theme instead. His father is a retired fire chief so the room will have firetrucks, dalmatians, and fire hydrants. It's super cute!

Congrats on the awesome news! I thought it was a boy when you described your feelings before and when you said girl I was like ok I guess they really are old wives tales.....Guess not LOL. CONGRATS!!
Nickie - it IS strange because the other sonogram did look like a girl. But he had his ankles crossed and a sonogram technician said some boys "drop late". Not entirely sure why that would affect anything but who knows.
Nope, no names yet. Well we want Isaac for the middle name but no first name. We have a few ideas but nothing concrete nor anything that just screams at us, "This is the name!!!" My head is still reeling! LOL!

Ooh I may do a rocker/skull themed nursery! I am not exactly a mainstream momma; I like alternative stuff. Then again rocker and skull stuff is becoming very trendy. My husband is a musician and singer (and absolutely amazing; find him here http://www.facebook.com/waitinghere - there's a music player as the most recent status update. It is a worship band.)
So anyway it might be footballs or music! We'll see what Daddy thinks!

Ya know! When you posted awhile back for guesses on the sex of the baby. I believe I said Boy :) I guess I just had a feeling too!!!
Oh and I must add that I was just as excited about having a girl when I thought he was a girl! A healthy baby is truly all I wanted. But I am thrilled for my husband especially because he has wanted a son since before we were even married. His dream is coming true! He was also excited when we thought baby was a girl but this will be the first baby to carry on his family's name; all his other brothers don't have babies yet (one does have a baby on the way and they'll find out what they're having next month) to carry on the name!
LACh - I haven't even begun to peruse baby boy nurseries! I'm going to do that now!!! Knowing Daniel he'll want footballs or sports or something. We'll see! I'll keep you all posted or you can follow my blog (first comment on this thread has the link)!
