Induced right now

We've been at the hospital all night. My ob sent me because we had a nonreactive NST earlier. When I got here they did an ultrasound and found my fluid was really low (1.6) so I was admitted. I've been on pitocin for about 5 and a half hours and nothing's happening. I'm getting super frustrated and I can't get comfortable at all in this bed! :( it doesn't help I'm starving either, ice chips just ain't cuttin it.

Caiden James was born Oct 2nd at 3:59pm :) 9 lbs 10 ounces and 23 inches long! It only took an hour of pushing and for whatever reason, no cone head. My nurses keep thinking he was born c section ;o

Melissa - I definitely suggest eating before. We had gone to Olive Garden beforehand (never ending pasta bowl :9) and I was still starving. Try eating protein, something that'll stick with you for a while.Once they start the induction you don't get to eat or drink. I had a cool nurse that snuck me apple juice and an otterpop though. I have never loved flavored ice so much.

I hope everything gets better for you hun and that your little one comes quickly!! I'm being induced Thursday and my doc didn't tell me anything about eating or not. It's at 6am should I eat before I go to the hospital or eat the night before? What about drinking water?

I couldn't even have ice chips when I was induced...that was bad cause I had to go 19 1/2 hours in labor with nothing to eat or drink. Your little one will be here before u know it..good luck.
