I'm being induced Thursday at 3! I'm terrified because this is all so nerve wracking, but I've never been so happy. How was everyone's inducement? I'm getting the epidural as well and needles are my biggest fear. I'm the biggest baby when it comes to pain.

Don't listen to anyone, everyone has a different experience.  You're just gonna get yourself nervous

I was induced with my first baby at 16. And didn't get my epidural until it was 10 minutes before I started pushing. But it did numb everything. And as much pain as you'll be in you would want to have the epidural, you wouldn't care about nothing but letting the pain stop. Idk why they waited so long with me. Maybe because I was 16 and they wanted to torture me. Lol.

I had to be induced at 35 weeks. It took a day for it to get me in full on labor and I went with an epidural to help lower my BP as I was in there for preeclampsia. I didn't want to be induced or get the epidural but I wanted it to be as safe as it could be because I was having a preemie. She only weighed 4 lbs. Anyway by the time I hit my second huge contraction I had them do it and I don't even remember feeling it.

They did give me a drip. And I was slightly pissed off bc they didn't tell me ab the button until after I started feeling the contractions after the pitocin.

I was pissed bc if I as getting charged for the damn epidural, I should have been able to enjoy it more lol

Also,  if the epidural starts to wear off,  it should be as a drip so that they can give u more if needed!  With mine,  I felt nothing! It's WONDERFUL!

I wad induced with my first and I had no problems with it.  I wanted to see how far I could WITHOUT the epidural.  I only lasted until 4 in a half centimeters!  I was induced at 4 am and by about 9 - 10 am is when the contractions got REALLY bad!  The epidural was no problem! U don't even see the needle.  You will do great,  I don't like to hear about all these horror stories about being induced.  The contractions didn't come on right when u get it.  It's a build up!  Hope that helps; )

The pain will be so bad you probably won't notice the epidural being inserted. But also, don't expect it to help so much.

With my first, I had my epidural put in even though I wasn't even feeling my contractions like most women do. Well I got stuck at 6 cm, so they gave me some pitocin to get me going again. Yeah, I thought I was going to die at that point the contractions were do bad. And I have a fairly high pain tolerance.

Not trying to scare you, just being honest.

Good luck to you though and hope you have a safe delivery!
