Induction?

I was 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced my last appointment (Monday the 22nd, my next one is Monday the 29th) and my due date is the 30th. Does anyone know 'rules' of induction? I'm wondering if I will get induced next week if my baby doesn't come this weekend.

It sounds like you're coming along fine, you'll probably not need an induction.

Excuse my hideous grammar in my last comment, I'm just really surprised! I never heard of inducing labor that way. Do you know the reasoning behind it inducing labor?

It depends  on the  dr.
With  mine,  you can choose to get induced at 39 weeks.  Other drs make  you wait  1 week  or even wait until you're  42 weeks.
