This link will take you to a website that shows what seafood is safe to eat. It will tell you the level of mercury in each and how many servings you can have.check it out.
Fish that has been salted or pickled is safe to eat. If you enjoy oysters, mussels and other shellfish, you'll need to make sure that they're well cooked if you want to keep eatingthem during pregnancy (got this off a pregnancy sight on Google. You can have shellfish just not raw and in large quantities)
Girl call your doctor. I know that all doctors say different things. My doctor said I could have seafood one or twice a week I eat fish and shrimp. I've even had clam chowder alot and my baby is completely healthy! I don't eat it every single day obviously but I don't think it will hurt you to eat it. My say is yes
I'm pretty sure if she eats it this one time it'll be fine. It's not like she's going to eat it everyday.
Shellfish and sushi are kne of the foods your supposed to skip completely while pregnant. Clams are a shellfish.
Eating too much mercury isn't good for you. But a normal amount once in a while is ok. So yes you can
I'm saying from what my doctor has told me, you probably shouldn't. Every docotor is different. I'm letting you know mercury isn't safe while pregnant. Eat at your own risk.
I understand . But the answer to my question is it a yes I can or no I can't?!
Mercury isn't. It's causes many problems. That's why fish is supposed to be limited to up to a 12 oz can of tuna a week and certain seafoods you arnt supposed to eat at all while pregnant.
@Enacamel: ok thanks but does that mean it ain't safe for the baby ?
I don't think you'd want to eat a lot of it. Clams are high in mercury.
So it is safe to eat clam?
