Is taking Nordette after 1 week could still be effective?

My girlfriend and I had unprotected sex last friday (October 23, 2015) and she took a pregnancy test yesterday (October 25, 2015) (we live in the Philippines, btw) and it turned out to be positive (2 lines) is there any chance that Nordette could actually do anything? If not, what else could be the solution because we're not yet ready to have a baby.

I'm sorry to be rude and state the obvious, but if you're not ready for kids, you should take the necessary steps to prevent that...

Definitely wouldn't show up positive after two days- she was already pregnant.

You have to wait 3 weeks after unprotected sex to get a result from a home pregnancy test.If she got a positive she is was most likely already pregnant. And i also agree, adoption is the best option.

She was probably already pregnant.  It takes a few weeks to actually get a positive. Adoption is a great option. There are so many loving couples who can't have babies on their own.

You can't get a positive two days after unprotected sex, she would have already been pregnant before the 23rd.
