Is there still hope?

So, I had an ultrasound on Monday the 12th and the tech didn't see much. My hcg levels were 10,000 and two days later they were 14,748. I had an ultrasound today again and this time they saw a yolk sac but no baby or anything yet. They said I would be measuring 5-5.5 weeks. I thought I would be further along than that but my cycles and ovulation are never normal. I have had a blighted ovum in the past and I am just worried it will happen again. I am not sure if you can have a blighted ovum and a yolk sac though? My next ultrasound is next Friday and I just pray we see a baby! My levels are pretty high for just being supposedly 5-5.5 weeks though. I am blabbering and just am confused, nervous, scared, impatient, etc :) Anyways I think I should be a little more hopeful since we saw a yolk sac this time but at the same time I don't want to get my hopes up. Any thoughts?

I had an ultrasound at 5 weekd and all we seen was a sac. Try not to worry cuz the tech told me I was having a blighted ovum but now I am 15 weeks.

I'd say stay hopeful. I had an ultrasound at 5.5 weeks too b/c I'd had spotting and all we could see was the yolk sac. I saw my baby for the first time 3 weeks ago and saw the heartbeat. Now I'm almost 11 weeks, saw the Dr yesterday and everything is going well. I wouldn't worry, I hope everything turns out well!

since your hcg did rise i would stay hopeful if i were you. though, i am hopeful to the last second with sorrow waiting in the wings. but i say stay hopeful until then. if anything good vibes for the baby are best, right? stay strong and i hope everything is fine!
