Labor Story! :)

Sorry this is kind of late because I just got out of the hospital yesterday afternoon. :) Well I was due December 4th. My water broke December 2nd while I was at home in bed. It was a slow trickle for 5 hours when I finally decided to go in because I wasn't having any contractions yet. I got to the hospital and was only dilated to a 2 so they just admitted me and gave me some ambian and said we'd start pitocin in the morning. Decemeber 3rd came and we started pitocin at 7 a.m. and by 4 p.m. I was only at a 5. Then suddenly between 4 p.m. and 4:30 I went from a 5 to a 10 and had to start pushing even though the doctor wasn't there. Pushed for about 25 minutes and @ 4:56 p.m. my sweet baby girl, Paisley Joy was born. She is so perfect and beautiful. 7 lbs, 7 oz, 20 inches long. I am overjoyed. She was and IS so worth the wait!

After I had her I had to go into emergency surgery because I had a hematoma (swollen blood vessel/clot) on my labia and it was going to burst if the clot wasn't treated. Surgery took 2 hours and it was awful. They removed a blood clot the size of a peach from my labia. Everything seems to be healing up well though now. In a lot of pain still but so much better than it was before!
