So this is a bit late, but I've been a very busy momma! Sorry its so long!
Monday morning I went in at 7:30am to be induced at 40 weeks 4 days. I went in beong about 2/3 centimeters and 50% effaced. They started the pitocin at about 9:30am, and I progressed pretty slowly. By 12:00pm I was 4 centimeters and about 60%, and my doctor decided to break my water. Now I know what they mean when they say you feel like you're uncontrolobaly peeing! I wet through the whole bed! After that the contractions started getting stronger and they progressively up-ed the pitocin. Eventually I got in the tub, and boy was that a relief! I stayed in there for a few hours, and then got out to get an epidural. I was only 5cm though. They were a bit worried because my contractions were back to back and getting stronger, but I wasn't continuing to dialate. The first epidural wasnt working, so they gave me another one which did an amazing job. Eventually I started dialating more, which made me happy because they had been mentioning a possible c section. Eventually the epidural wore out so they kept giving me more doses. But they werent working at all. At about 11 my doc came in and checked me, i was 100% and having crazy painful back to back contractions still. It was time to push. They rest went really fast for me. I was so exhausted and in so much pain that I was nearly falling asleep between every push. They decided to use the vac on her, and that helped her out. After only a 1/2 hour or so of pushing she was born at 12:09am, September 30th! She has a bug bruise from the vacume(and had a crazy conehead for an hour or so), but was perfectly healthy, weighing 8 ibs exactly and 21 1/2 inches long. Her bane is Serenity Rose and I've never seen anything more perfect!
Thank you to all the moms that answered my questions and concerns these past 9/10 months! You're all amazing, and goodluck to you(:
