Loose stools in late pregnancy?

Sorry, this is probably too much info.  I am 36 1/2 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from terrible constipation this entire pregnancy (I had a respite for about 6 weeks).  Suddenly, two weeks ago, I had diarrhea one day, and I assumed it was from something that I ate.  But, things really haven't gotten better.  I'm not exactly having diarrhea every day, but I am having loose stools fairly often throughout the day.  I am trying to figure out what is going on.  I'm not sure if I'm suffering from a touch of IBS (a suggestion from my doc) or if something else is going on.  Any suggestions or advice?  Thanks!

i also had looser stools for a couple weeks near the end. (was also constipated most of my pregnancy) its just your body getting you ready for delivery. nothing to worry about, not too much longer for you?! good luck!

It could be anything and can certainly be related to pregnancy hormones and your body preparing for labor.  Hang in there!
