Laying on your back

I've read a couple of people saying you aren't supposed to lay on your back, I'm 37+5 weeks and am just wondering why you aren't supposed to lay on you back can anyone please tell me if this is true and if so why you aren't supposed to?

Also can cause decreased blood flow to your baby

It's true. Your uterus puts weight in the vein that goes from the heart to your lower half. This can cause swelling, dizziness, and shortness of breath
