MY 8 MONTH OLD IS WAKING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT!

HI LADIES..I WAS WONDERING IF I CAN GET SOME SUGGESTIONS/HELP/ADVICE. WELL MY 8 MONTH BABY GIRL SUDDENLY HAS BEEN WAKING UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT 2-3 TIMES AND I TRIED TO ROCK HER AND WALKING AROUND AND SHE GOES BACK ASLEEP BUT AS SOON AS I PUT HER BAK IN HER CRIB SHE STARTS CRYING AGAIN. SO ITS BEEN GOING ON FOR ALMOST A MONTH ALREADY AS I THOUGHT MAYB IT WILL GO AWAY ON ITS OWN OR SHE WILL GROW OUT OF IT BUT NOW IS EVERYDAY! SHE BASICALLY SLEEPS WITH US AND I CAN BARELY KEEPS MY EYES OPEN CUZ I WORRY THAT MY HUSBAND MIGHT SQUEZZE HER OR SOMETHING COULD HAPPEN WHILE SHE IS ON THE BED WITH US!! SO I END UP ON THE COUCH SLEEPIN TO GIVE THEM MORE SPACE AND PUT PILLOWS AROUND BUT IS STILL NOT SAFE FOR HER AND IM WORRY!! FROM WHAT I HEARD FROM OTHERS PARENTS IS TO LET THEM CRY AND TO CHEK IN EVERY 5 MINUTES AND SO ON TILL SHE FALLS SLEEP..BUT IS SOOO HARD FOR ME I JUST CANT DO IT :o(  LAST NIGHT WE SHE WENT TO BED AT 930 AND AS SOON HER DAD PUT TO BED SHE WOKED UP CRYING AND WE LET HER CRY FOR LIKE 7-8 MIN BUT SHE WAS GETTING SOO OVERWHELMED MY HUBBY WENT TO GET HER..SINCE I GUESS SHE IS NOT USED TO CRYING! PLUS I FEEL LIKE SUCH A HORRIBLE MOTHER TO LET CRY AND I JUST FEEL SOO BAD!! I DONT KNO WAT TO DO?? SHE ALWAYS SLEPT GOOD SO I DONT KNO HOW HER SCHEDULE JUST CHANGED FROM ONE DAY TO ANOTHER... PLEASE I NEED SUM SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE..THANK YOU

I made the same mistake by letting my daughter sleep with us a few nights bc she was sick.... And she was only one.... But BOY do they learn!!! For the next two wks it was a battle. Honestly the longer you "wait" it out with her, the tougher itll be in the long run.... She will NOT go to her own crib bc she wants to... .You have to make her sleep there. Its her crib and she has to learn that. If shes sleeping with u guys she obv doesnt know "her crib". You have to teach that to her. And stop letting her sleep with you guys.
When she falls asleep for nighttime, put her in crib.
When she wakes up rub her back Do NOT take her to your BED. DONT do IT! IF she is super mad, take her to the coach NOT to your BED. Even for day naps. keep her out of your bedroom, so shell forget about it.
YES obviously its going to be a few ruff nights for you, but before you know it shell be back in her crib.

Are you feeding her when she wakes up? She may be going through a growth spurt and be hungry at night.

So, she sleeps OK if she is in the room/bed with your right?  I am kind of going through it with my 3 month old son.  I got very lucky and he started sleeping 8 hours strait at one month old from 9pm-6am in his bassinet beside our bed.  I tried moving him into his crib this week and same thing... he wakes up and cries and cries and won't go back to sleep.

Let him sleep in my room last night in the pack n play and he slept all the way through the night again!

So, I bought an air mattress and I am going to sleep in his room with him until he is comfortable.  I figure if he knows I am right there like he does in my room he will start to feel more comfortable.  I figured I would try it for a week and see how it goes.  Also, you can try to go in and comfort her without picking her up.  Like stroke her hair until she goes back to sleep, so it comforts her without you giving in/picking her up or letting her cry it out. I don't like the "crying it out" thing either and will not be applying this method at all with my son =)

My daughter also did that around one. My daughter actually woke up for feedings til she turned one. So i know how it is,.... My child has never been a good sleeper. Im so used to it by now. Shes 2.5 yrs now and sleeps pretty good for the most part, but past couple of days woke me up at night 2 or three times..... All kids go thru phases itll pass.... one day shell be tired of waking up and shell sleep.... not much you can do. Maybe a nightlight? or if she has one in her room, get rid of it.... I know my daughter JUST recently got a nightlight bc it used to wake her up. Now she has one bc she has a big girl bed... and gets out when she wants..... So my suggestion is get rid of any lighting that is in her room.
