Medicaid question

Do you have to be employed to get medicaid?

In New York u dnt need to be employed.

I'd for sure look into Medicaid then if your insurance doesn't cover maternity. Congrats on the pregnancy, good luck!

Thank you. I live in alabama and my insurance doesnt cover maternity.

In most states you dont medicaid is a government insurance program.... I know as for here in florida if you are unemployed you have a better chance of getting it if you are working you can still get it but they will put you on a program called share of cost which means tou have to pay a certain amount then they will cover the rest.... If you recievw foodstamps or cash assistance you pretty much automaticallt qualify for medicaid
