Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation

My Cycle came on July 15th and it only lasted 3 days, maybe 4 days.  Based on a regular 7 day bleeding cycle I would ovulate on the 28th or 29th of July.  If your cycle is only for 3-4 days, do you ovulate earlier?

My second question is can you get pregnant right after you stop bleeding or can you get you pregnant 5 days after you stop bleeding?  I am a little confused because if you bleed shorter than 7 days than your ovulation should come earlier.

Thanks!

LOL.michele. i never knew you ovulate 14-16 days after you ovulate...

she means you will get your period 14-16 days after ovulation, she right in what she said apart from ov after ov LOL...if your last period was july, then i would say you have hormonal problems, which need looking at,if you have a short cycle then its possible to ov within days of period ending, sperm can survive up to 5 day,so if you were to ovulate day 10 then its possible.if you normally bleed for 7 days then that month where you bleed only a few then it may be just an off month.best bet is to use ovk...

July??  Are you pregnant now??  You can ovulate pretty much at anytime.  I got pregnant with my last one right after my period ended.  I just ovulated early for some reason.  How long you bleed does not necessarily have anything to do with when you will bleed again.  Your period is based on when you ovulate and not the other way around.  So, if you ovulate earlier, you will have a period earlier but if you ovulate later, then you will have your period later.  You should ovulate 14-16 days after ovulation.  Hope that helps some.
