Mensuration cycle started

Hello Doctor,i'm 47 kg girl and married just 4 months back. Me and my husband are trying for children now. For last three months,we are doing intercourse regularly and expected to get confirmation for this month.Unfortunately,my mensuration cycle started for this month as well.Does it mean, all intercourse we did for last four month's is of no use and again we should take part in intercourse ? please advise.

It takes the average couple a minimum of a year to get pregnant when trying.  This means they tried a full year before successful. The best way to get pregnant is to track your cycle.  You start counting on the first day of your period and that is cycle day 1.  Then on cycle day 10, you begin having sex every other day for the next 10 days (longer if your cycle is longer than average).  This usually catches the egg.  No, sex is not for 'nothing' with your husband.  We also have sex to increase intimacy and closeness and for the pleasure of ourselves and our mate.  The sex you had the last four months maybe didn't result in pregnancy but is part of the journey and gave you a chance toward pregnancy.  and your partner is not just a baby machine so remember to also enjoy an active sex life with your partner beyond just trying for baby.  good luck

Many thanks for your comment.I will note this point for sure . To be more specific,i just want to know for any mensuration cycle the previous intercourse can be considered as failed from pregnancy perspective ? For example,if i get periods for this month, does it mean all intercourse we have done previously is not useful for pregnancy ? pls advise.
Sperm can live inside for about 5 days. If they don’t catch the egg you have to try again next cycle. Do you know the signs of ovulation - cervix soft, high, open and wet, fertile stretchy mucus, sex drive high and a measurable temperature jump?  The egg is good for only one day once it drops.
