More fluid!?

Theres a wet spot on my bed as big as my thigh, I'm really frustrated because I knew I wasn't peeing on myself earlier but l&d said I was, I'm worried because I know plenty of babies getting infected nd emergency c sections because "it wasn't amniotic fluid" What are some ways to tell, do I wait for stronger pains? :/

Your fluid does regenerate itself so if its only been a couple hours your baby should be fine. My doc said fluid discharge is more common when moving/changing position so that would not be a good indicator to determine if its your water.

My water broke at 9am & with my first baby everyone tells you, you'll have plenty of time so i took a shower got pretty & went in around 12 & they told me i peed on myself. I had an appt later that day with my OB. At 5pm when he finally got to me & checked me, he said i was having a contraction as he was checking me & i was 3-4cm that it was definitely my water that had broken but it only came out in little bits when he pushed up on her head.. her head was blocking the rest of the fluid! They don't always know for sure. Have them recheck you!

The same thing happened to me but when the nurse was going to check to see if it was fluid,.all of the sudden I felt like a 3lb bag of pee came out but it wasn't it was my water had broke.. so if you feel it's not normal go back and have re test

See I don't smell anything, contractions only come when in laying down. I'm getting really irritated, I know a couple of people in mt family who's baby had an infection or emergency c section because they said there water wasnt leaking. I'm just trying not to go nd drag them to l&d with me, just to be sent home. Its frustrating.

i had some issues with urine this pregnancy which felt like it was coming from lower as well but was urine and spelled just like it, but this has been ongoing for a while i say go back in so that there is no infection due to leaking amniotic fluid.

Thts what I said! Its too common nd frequent, nd its not coming out the top like urine does, its lower.

I wanna keep moving around nd see how much comes out, nd see if more contractions come,but I don't want him to run out of water in there since its been happening since 4am, nd I do get this sudden urge to clean, may just be becausei can't be comfortable in a messy room, lol, idk, Ima do some moving around, I'll come back with any questions! thanks ladies (:

i saw ur other post, this has been going on non stop for hours now i would think it wouldn't be urine bc thats a lot of fluid to be coming out for hours to be urine

I'd take the pantyliner in and have them test that, you're not crazy, trust me, people do it a lot haha. That way your discharge isn't getting mixed up in the fluid, if that's amniotic fluid on the pantyliner it should pick it up no problem. I was already having contractions when my water half broke.

if its urine it should smell like it, and amniotic fluid does have a sweet smell usually but with my daughter it didn't have a smell at all to me. how long has this been going on? i think you may wanna go back bring wet liner with you also have them test it and like another said u/s also

I put a panty liner on, its pretty wet, no pains yet, how soon would contractions come? This is frustrating.

Maybe try putting on a pantyliner and catching some of it, and having them test that? I would also be bouncing on a ball, doing squats, swaying back and forth, to drop him into the birth canal farther and get it going!

I've already been in once this morning,i posted previously, but he checked me nd I was 2cm 90%thinned  he said I was in early onset labor nd he wouldn't be surprised if I had him before thursday. It comes when I lay down, stand up or cough??

I was about 35 weeks when I thought for sure my water broke, they did the swab and said no it must've been urine, and I was so sure it wasn't pee that I made them do multiple swabs and an U/S, and it wasn't my water, it was pee :( haha. It didn't feel like I had to pee at all, or that I WAS peeing, he said it can be urine stuck in a "pocket" and so you won't feel it when you go pee. If you think it's amniotic fluid go in and make them do multiple swabs and an U/S so you're 100% sure when you leave there. Good luck!!
