Mucous Plug and feeling baby close to Pubic bone

I think I've started losing my mucous plug (quarter-sized chunks of white discharge) at 31 wks. Is that possible and if so, how long do you think I can go without delivering my baby? I absolutely don't want to have her this early, I'd actually love to go full term. Also, last night I got the scare of my life when I felt my little one moving around VERY low in my pubic area. Is that normal as well? I've never felt her that low. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

Baby showers are always exciting! =) I'm sure you will get all kinds of goodies! Me and my hubby wanted to have a last getaway thing before my son was born, but for some reason it never happened! =( This time around we will be on vacation for a week (a month before baby is due) so it will be like our little getaway and time of relaxtion before baby #2!  Yes, I hope we both have smooth deliveries and I'm sure everything will work out great for you as well! =)

Yeah, all the fun stuff is coming up so it's more excitement than fear at this point. I'm having my baby shower on April 18th and then my husband and I want to have a little weekend getaway soon after. So this should be fun. I'm sure everything will work out for you as well. Good luck and I hope everything runs smoothly through delivery for both of us! :)

I hear you! It was the same with my son. I didn't know how we would transition into becoming our new little family, but thankfully it was just fine! =) Now I have no clue how we are going to manage with this one and my son! My head is already spinning trying to figure things out, but it will all work out I'm sure. And the closer to the end you get, the more nervous and excited you get. All will be fine! =) Just enjoy these last few weeks! It's wonderful having a baby and you will be a great mom! =)

Oh good. No, there wasn't any blood in there and I haven't been having BH any more often so it sounds like I'm in the clear. I think maybe my nerves are starting to kick into overdrive. I just keep thinking 8 or 9 more weekends of just my hubby and myself and then we'll finally be a family...exciting and terrifying all at once LOL. Thank you both very much :)

I started loosing mine about that time.  And I'm 38 weeks not.  So I think your ok.  If it did not have blood in it then you didn't loose all of it.  Anita

You can start losing pieces of your plug at any time really, but your body will rebuild the plug if you are not going into labor. Was it tinged with any blood or are you having any BH? If not, and it was just white or clear, it sounds like it could just be normal discharge. And at this point you can still feel the baby in different areas..she could be punching down there or pressing her head on your cervix. Unless she is breeched right now, it could be her feet. You could always mention the discharge to your doc if you are concerned about it, but I remember with my son, having tons of discharge my entire pregnancy and it only got worse toward the end. My midwife was never worried unless I was having BH that became consistent or if I was experiencing bleeding/spotting. Hope that helps you somewhat!
