I had one in a VERY embarassing area....the major vein the runs right alongside of your "private area" it caused it to be VERY swollen and tender. It was ugly, annoying and painful...but it went away IMMEDIATELY after birth...as soon as the pressure was relieved. Chances are very good they will go away after you give birth, but if not, talk to your doctor about treatments. For the time being stay off your feet at as much as possible, stay hydrated and lay down and prop your legs up above heart level as often as you can...especially when you sleep.
If they are still there once you have your baby, talk to the doctor. Varicose veins can be taken care of by a medical procedure, and if they hurt, there is all the more reason to do so.
