I'm not sure if my water broke

I'm 39 weeks. Had some pressure and went to the bathroom. I tried to stop myself from peeing while on the toilet and couldn't stop. It was a gush and then nothing. Could that have been my water breaking?

I just got in to see a doctor. My water didn't break but my labor is in the beginning stages. They sent me home for now. Thank you both.

It most certainly sounds like your water broke.

I would definitely go get checked. Take it from me, last Wednesday I had to start wearing a pad during the day because I thought I was leaking urine because of the pressure. Last Saturday I called my doctor and they told me to go in to get checked. Found out my water broke days before. I gave birth this passed Sunday morning at 36 weeks. So I would definitely go get checked just to make sure. I had no pain or anything so it was very unexpected.
