So glad be made a safe arrival! I remember reading your email saying you wished the full moon worked for you. I went to the doctor yesterday cuz I was contracting every 7 minutes for 12 hours and getting to the point to where I couldn't stand up. As soon as my doctor hooked me up, contractions instantly stopped. He said if he could have picked up two contractions, he could have admitted me.  He said he had 6 women already that morning with contractions the same as mine and only admitted two of them. He changed my date to Monday so the full moon theory didn't work for me! The only thing the full moon accomplished was making him drop!

Wow that has got to be one of the scariest gym emergencies to have!!!! I am so sorry you and your family had to go through that!!! A prolapsed cord can go very bad, I am so happy everything turned out well for you. I understand how scared you were, 4 days ago I had an emergency c section bc my baby's heart rate crashed, it was so Bad that they didn't have time to do the normal sedation they just had to knock me out, I was bawling just like you. We are so incredibly blessed that our babies are healthy.

Get some good rest mama, my recovery from the c section has been awful, I hope yours is a whole lot easier. Have fun with that baby and good luck to you and your family.

I had no idea what waa happening! I looked over at my husband and he looked as scared as I was! So then when the doctor came in(nurses hand still inside me)  he said lets get her to the operating room! I was then almost scared to death!!! So they push me in there get me on the table and start to check that the epidural

I later found out that it meant(not sure if my explanatikn is 100% correct) that the babys cord was coning out first and was being squeezed by the babys head and with each contraction his heart rate would drop, otherwise he was a happy healthy little guy there! But then the nurse says to the other(while her hand was still insidd me holding babys head up to keep his heartrate regular) call the doctor tell him to come in here and get everyone on the floor and ready.!!that freaked me out!! Scared me so bad I was crying and shaking uncontrollably

When I laid back down the decided to check my cervix again....as the nurse was checking, she got a scared/nervous look on her face, kept her hand inside me and whispered something to the other nurse...i was thinking "what the hell is goin on" so she says the baby has an elapsed cord (maybe the word was prolapsed I dont remember for sure) but whatever that meant didnt sound good

Well after signing all those papers about the epidural...in came the anasthesiologist (sp?) Ready to numb me up....wasnt the greatest experience because I have a high pain tolerance for the numbing medicine (even at the dentist I need extra shots) he had to give me 3 or 4 shots before being able to complete the epidural.now comes the scary part....

Of being monitered and while waitiing on the doctor, the nurse came in and checked the activity on the machine and realized that with each contraction babys heartbeat would drop.that and with my nervousnessy BP was a little high but that went back to normal. After being moved to an actual room.when they put me in the room nurses came and told me the doctor wants me to get an epidural "just in case" a csection were needed, they wouldnt have to put me asleep.thats was when I really got nervous!!!
