its a nuchal translucent ultra sound where they measure the fluid at the base of the babies neck.
I just recently had a high risk ultrasound/bloods and we decided on further testing and everything came back fine ... good luck .. we were 1:113
Hope everything goes well *good luck fingers crossed everything goes well * :)
I'm just gonna throw out my story with this test.
My father recently had a friend who was having a baby and had the NT scan come up positive. The friend and his wife were dead set on aborting the baby because of this. My dad convinced them not to. Couple months later when the wife gave birth, they had a perfectly healthy baby, physically, mentally. Those tests aren't very accurate. Something like only 15% of the positives actually come out with a down syndrome baby.
Also, my little brother tested positive. He's now three and has the biggest vocab of any three year old i've ever met. He rattles on NON-STOP. Always impresses the docs. I wouldn't worry until you actually get your little one in your hands. Then if baby really is Down Syndrome, I'm sure you'll love your little one no matter what. Good luck and I'll keep you in my prayers<3
