Not a pregnancy question but..

I'm curious if any of you ladies knoe anything about caring for an orphaned kitten. Our mommy cat outsidr doesn't have any milk one of her kittens died and we have one ee are trying to help survive. I bought some kitten formula and know you need to stimulate their butts. That's the part i'm having trouble with.  Almost 24 hours. 6 feedings and no poop. I'm not sure if i'm stimulating his butt right. Any of yall have experiance with this?

Thanks. I've been using a wash rag. Maybe it needs to be softer. I'll try rubbing his tummy. Thanks. (;

when we would take care of our puppies when the mother ignored them, we would also rub their tummy very very gently about an hour or so after feeding them. The vet said sometimes it helps relax them and help get things moving. I've never tried it on a cat though.

Wet a paper towel with warm water and wipe it's butt. It might take a minute or two but it will work because the mom licks them. Keep feeding the formula on a few hour schedule and after it eats then mak it use the bathroom.
