And for those of you who say smoking weed during pregnancy is no big deal..it is a very big deal mothers who smoke weed during pregnancy...it may effect your babies growth, nervous syste. Studies have shown children who where exposed to marijuana during pregnancy sometimes have problems focusing thier attention and solving problems ....and many more other problems do your research you can learn about how weed effects your baby on google...

Ladies. There is no need to argue this on someone comment. If she feels the need to correct people that's her business and her choice.

Besides I am a firm believer that prescription drugs are WAY worse than marijuana. Just take it all a day at a time and eat small healthy meals. Hope this helps. An hopefully it passes.

She stated she stopped smoking because of the baby... Of course there isn't going to be reseach and testing on weed during pregnancy because we live in a country where it is majority illegal. I've heard plenty of people smoking to help with morning sickness and eating problems, but that is your choice. Although it is risky because of the lack of research and the fact of loosening your child to the state over a silly plant.

Kristaljane I would focus on eating small portions of food thoroughly the day as long as you are eating something.. I had this same problem at 17 weeks just make sure you are taking your prenatals and drinking lots of water. :)

I know that wasnt the case lol i know how to read like i said i was giving my opinion and putting my own two sentence in i can say whateva i wana say and in my opinion i didnt start telling her a whole bunch of **** like i said all i said was ur not supposed to smoke when ur preggo and u shud call ur doc about not being able to keep anything down so that actually giving her advice which is some help!:) so mabey you should go back and read the comments and get your facts straight and if anybody is writing a whole book to her about not smoking weed thats actually helping her out its for her own good if she dont want her bby getting taken away!!

The fact is that she already said she wasnt doing it anymore and so therefore she is seeking help. All im saying is that people should read correctly before making others feel bad. . I would get it if she would have said that she cant stop and is continuing to smoke weed, but that wasnt the case, and mostly everyone started to tell her what was up as if she was addicted and couldnt stop her weed smoking habit, not even for her baby. . Like i said, that wasnt her case at all.

Y'all don't half to jump down her throat she said she WAS but NOW she's NOT because of the baby!  I would talk to the doctor and let them know you can't keep anything down they'll prescribe something for you .

Rule of thumb, if it's something you wouldn't put in your childs mouth after he/she is born, don't do it while pregnant, it's the same thing. I agree with Clysta.. talk to your doctor and discuss healthy options with him/her to help you out, I've never heard a doctor prescribe weed for morning sickness in my life... or there'd be a LOT more research on effects of smoking weed while pregnant.

People that are so opinionated about weed drive me nuts. Its a plant with no harsh chemicals in it. Its a hell of a lot better for you then smoking cigs. Seriously. Look up the stats. I smoked weed constantly until I found out I was pregnant... then I stopped right away. Because I personally felt like it was the right thing to do. Where I'm from doctors prescribe weed for morning sickness, for a lot of reasons. Stop being so judgenental.

The problem with saying just eat though is that it isn't always easy - especially if you're vomiting up everything you put in you.

Do you have times that are better than others kristaljane? If so, use them and eat things rich in protein and calories. Do you take your prenatals? That'll help provide essential vitamins you need. Try small amounts of broth, ice chips, ensure, and get in to see your doctor as soon as you can.

u can also try Tums to settle your stomach and sickness is normal.....any little bit of food u take in is good. your baby is going to steal YOUR nutrients....in fact...your going to suffer before your baby does...youll become weak as your baby eats your nutrients lol soooo, u may want to eat

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
tell your doctor your smoking weed while pregnant.
you know thats the quickest way to have the state get involved and TAKE your baby from you from the hospital!!!!!

this girl i know gave birth to her second baby back in august and bc she smoked pot, it showed up in the babies system and the state took her baby from her just 2 days after she gave birth......think before you act.

Your baby won't starve unless you were already malnourished. They get what they need from your body and your stores. Drugs will cause far more harm than not eating though, so it's good to never use them (especially when you're not pregnant too) Your doctor can prescribe medications to keep you from vomiting, as well as provide you with a healthy diet that can give you proper nutrients and calories.
