O negative moms

Are there any O negative moms out there. I found out yesterday my blood type is O negative and my doctor was explaining it to me and she mentioned a shot. Could someone sum it down for me and explain the whole thing to me

I'm also O Negative. This is my third baby. I've had the shot 5 times already. It's not bad at all.

I'm a neg mum and this is my 5th pregnancy, back in my nans day it was a serious condition during pregnancy but now it's early treated.
With my last baby I had a blood test at 10 weeks that was able to determine that my baby would have a negative blood type like me so no shots of anti d were needed but I had it in the other 3 pregnancies 2 were positive blood groups and 1 negative.

It's all about RH factor, the shot is called Rhogam. It's easier to look up info if you need more assurance than from above.

I am O negative. It's not just O it's anyone that has a negative in their blood type. You could google it and find answers pretty easy. When you have the negitive blood type your body will reject all positive blood types thinking they are bad. When you get pregnant your body will think the baby shouldn't be there and treat it like an infection. You are  fine in your first pregnancy, but if you get pregnant again with out that shot from the first pregnancy, then your body will have the antibodies to fight and have your body reject the baby. Thanks to modern medicine, they came out with a shot. It tricks your body into not recognizing the baby as a bad thing and in turn no building antibodies to get rid of it! You will get one shot while pregnant, and another shot after you have the baby if the babies blood is positive. I have 4 children and one of them was A- so the last one I didn't have to get the shot! Really not a big deal, just get an extra shot in your bottom! Keep in mind when you are done being pregnant and nursing, your blood is the most needed so donate if you can! :D Congratulations on the baby and you can message me if you have more questions!
