Mmmm last night I made Carmel dipped apples, then dipped them in white/dark/milk chocolate. They look ugly (the chocolate was too hot and melted down the side of the apple) but they are SOOOO good.
Ingredients: Granny Smith Apples (however many, in my case I made 15 for my whole family)
5 bags Carmel nibs (comes with sticks)
1 large bag milk chocolate chips
1 bag special dark chocolate chips
1 bag white chocolate chips
Refridgerate apples so they are COLD
Melt carmel according to bag instructions (2tbsp water per bag,) Heat on LOW or over a double boiler so you don't burn carmel
Put sticks 1/2w in apples, have wax paper out as well. Dip apples, swirling into carmel so that carmel surrounds the stick in apple (barely) and hold til excess dripps off and then put on wax paper. (carmel on apple will be thick)
refridgerate about an hour,
Melt chocolate in separate pans, heating JUST Until chocolate melts so it's not so hot it melts carmel off apples.
make sure NO WATER Gets in the pan or the chocolate will seize up.
Dip apples as much as you want, but no more than fully dipped 1x
Stick in fridge 15 min or eat right away...mmmmm
