I just wanted to let you know that EVERYONE has a 50/50 chance of miscarrying...so I hate when doctors say that. It upsets people for no reason. Also, when I was pregnant with my daughter I thought I was 14 weeks by the time I figured out I was pregnant (based off my last period...)but when I got to the doctor I was only 8 weeks!! However, my levels were rising...which is ALWAYS good!
Keep positive! I know how hard it is to do it though...I had 3 miscarriages prior to my daughter...
Thanks ladies, yes the doctor said my levels rising were a good thing....when the doctor called me back yesterday she said that I probably had a 50/50 chance of miscarrying. I just keep praying I dont, this is my second pregnancy and my first was a breeze so everything is quite a shock to me. Any comments or feedback is always appreciated...I'm trying to keep my mind off of it!
Dont give up hope yet.i agree it may be bit early.I dont understand why they did a normal scan, normally before 12 weeks they would do an internal.very hard to get good accurate info, from normal scan, especially if they say you are only 6 weeks.try to relax and wait for your next scan.your levels are increasing this is good news.
i had the same problem i thought i was 7 weeks pregnant according to my lmp but when i got an ultrasound they measured me at 5 weeks. i know its not as large of a difference but it is a small possibility that you ovulated late like i did. i actually ovulated a day or two before my missed period which is two weeks later than normal and that is why the actual fetal age was behind.
as far as the bleeding is concerned i started bleeding once after sex and i went to the er and they told me it was from sex because my cervix is easily irritated when you are pregnant. they told me that if its dark red then its old blood and if its bright red its new blood. you could have been experiencing implantation bleeding.
this could be what happened to you. your hormone levels are supposed to double every 48-72 hours. when your doctor detected them at 32,000 did he/she say that was good?
theres also a condition called a blighted ovum ( not to scare you but i just want you to be informed ) and its possible to miscarry the baby while the gestational sac is still implanted in your uterus. when i asked my doctor about this while i was concerned she told me that your hcg levels will rise with a blighted ovum but they will not double. so as long as yours are doubling you are probably okay! if they diagnose you with a blighted ovum at any point i wouldn't get a d & c i would wait till your body miscarries naturally. ive heard women say on here that they waited to get a d & c because they didn't feel right and they saw a heartbeat at like 13 weeks. so its definitely a possibility!!! sorry this is so long but good luck to you and try not to stress yourself out too much!!
