Officially 36 weeks pregnant !

Too excited.. I'm just curious does anyone know of any signs of being close to labor ?? I don't feel any different and I know I still have about 4 weeks but shouldn't I feel my body preparing in some way ? I'm too anxious to get this boy out of me !!!

I have been having signs of labor for 3+ weeks, and no labor.  I did go to 90% effaced, 2cm dilated, and lost my MP and still no baby in sight.  I no longer look forward going to the Doctor because I always think that I am going to have progressed further along than I did.  I am now planning on 42 weeks and dont expect it anytime soon.

I'm 38+4 with my second and still not having any signs myself. I had my first at 39+3 with no big signs either. You may get more discharge, BH contractions, back pain, etc. You may not see any signs, but you're in the home stretch :)

Those are actually not signs labour is near, plenty of women leak way earlier than 30wks like I did both of my pregnancies as well as Braxton hicks, but she is right about being dilated, i was at a 3 for a couple weeks too. Now, they do say and some women actually do have the runs before going into labour, you can also have a lot more braxton hicks closer to your labour but not necessarily, you can honestly go into labour with no signs prior too, not everyone gets warnings. My bestfriend got married the day before her due date, had a great day, next day 10am she started going into labour, you never know, but you are 36wks now so technically you are close. Goodluck and happy new year!

Hunny I gave birth at 42 weeks with my second so try to have a little patience cuz you never know when they will be ready and will only end up frustrated that you're still pregnant. But to answer your questions some of the signs that shows your body is preparing for birth is Braxton hicks contractions, leaking nipples, dilation and effacement (although you could be 3cm dilated and still not go into labor for 2 weeks like me!) that precious baby will come when he's ready:)
