Our little man is finally here :)
Well after awaiting the arrival of our little man for what seemed like forever he was finally brought into the world by emergency c section on the 10th of August at 7:02am(Irish Time) weighing 8lb 9oz and 52cm. I was 6 days overdue and had been in labour for 16 hours. I was dilated to 7 cm but baby's head wasn't moving into the birth canal so they put me on oxytocin to bring contractions on quicker and stronger to see would he move, but little man dint like this and got distressed so they stopped the drugs and brought me for an emergency c section! I was so scared upset and disappointed in myself because I really wanted to have him vaginally. But now I can definatley say I am not disappointed in myself.
Because I am sitting here in the hospital in awe and cant stop staring at this beautiful little boy that I can't believe we made. I am in pain when I walk but that's obviously normal I've been through major surgery! Pain meds kind of take the edge off.
Anyways just wanted to thank all you lovely ladies for all your help and advice over the past 9 months and want to wish ye all the luck in the world with your delivery and recovery and enjoy your babies!
P.s. So true what they say that you forget the pain when you look at your gorgous baby and I'd go through it all again tomorrow as hard as it was for me ❤
