Ovarian cyst

Today I went to my obyn appointment and I was told that I have an ovarian cyst. The nurse practicioner that saw me told me it didn't affect the baby she explained to me what it is but I still don't understand. I'm really scared now. Has anyone has had this during pregnancy? Or has it?

Cyst are very common even when your not pregnant I actually get them once or twice a year. Some hurt when the rupture but other times I won't even feel it, but there b is nothing to worry about.

Yes she told me it usually goes away after pregnancy. I'm just worried that I won't be able to have more kids later on if something goes wrong with the cyst. I thought I was the only one but now I know it's common . Thank you ladies I feel less worried now.

I had one this pregnancy that was 4 cm, dr said it wouldn't cause any problems. I haven't had an ultrasound to see if it's still there or not, I'm 38 weeks now. My sister in law had a cyst with both of her pregnancies. With her first, the cyst actually saved her baby's life because it was living off of it rather than the 'yolk' or pkacenta for a while

Did she tell you it'll go away on it's own? I think they call it a functional cyst?
