Update- spotting and i went for a scan today

hi everyone as you all know i have been red spotting since friday last night it got a bit heavier so i was expecting the worst. I went for my scan this morning and found out the baby is fine it has a heartbeat and measures 6 weeks i also have a cyst n my left ovary but was told it should disappear. They have no idea why im bleeding but my midwife said i is normal but the fact i was and still having bright red blood then turns pink i really thought i had lost the baby but so far everything looks good.

Your scan can always be off by a few days, You have a heart beat. which is an amazing sign, I had serious heavy bleeding at 8 weeks, from moving my 7ft turtle tank and my room around. I put my feet up elevated with a pillow, through the night I had a few gushes, Bled everywhere over my bed, I mean everywhere... Like I chopped off a leg and didnt sort it. And I went to the docs the same day as when I woke up, I went home put my feet back up and the bleeding stopped the same day. And I am now 6 weeks :) So bleeding can be normal, as long as there are no cramps... :)

thanks for your comments im am so relieved everything looks fine i was seriously thinking the worst i went to the clinic and they had to do a vaginal so i couldn't see the screen and the woman said yes there is an early pregnancy here she turned the screen round and she said see the little flicker thats the heart i just burst into tears i couldn't believe baby was fine after me thinking i had lost it it turns out to be ok i am still a still a bit worried about the blood but cassandrajane i will defo use the pillow idea i never thought of doing that but i will now. The bleeding seems to be slowing down and turning pink/brown so i hope it stops soon. i have another scan in 2 weeks so im keeping my fingers crossed the baby will be doing even better.
can i ask im meant to be 6 weeks 5 days pregnant but baby only measuring 6 weeks is that normal?

Thats really good. :) I hope everything gets better, remember to lay down with your feet elevated by a pillow as this can help stem and sometimes stop the flow.. Trust me it does, Did for me, and I am 16 weeks and 1 day :)

Great to hear all is well with the little one, I shall say a prayer for you both. :) I had on and off bleeding up to about 4 months of my pregnancy, quite heavy bleeding. There first time it happened I got completely freaked out, as you can imagine. But they say it can be common to bleed during pregnancy. Also, they say once they find the heartbeat for the first time, the chance of something going wrong decreases. Very best of luck to you both. :)
