PCOS with Low progesterone level and miscariage

I did a home pregnancy test on friday and it came out to be positive.
But yesterday I lost my pregnancy.
Doctor said may be the progesterone level went down and hence it resulted in a miscarriage.
Since my day 21 progesterone level was 12, I had a doubt bec' I read that for people on medicated cycle, doctors usually expect the level to be more than 15 atleast.
So I called the doctor office so many times to see if they could provide me a progesterone supplement.
My doctor was on vacation and the nurse said 12 is a good number and they asked me to come after 10days since they dint have any other appointments.

Finally after I had the miscarriage, they asked me to come in immedietely.
Doctor said she will put me on higher dosage of clomid and progesterone supplements for the next cycle.
If she has done that as soon as she saw my 21 st day test result, I would have saved my pregnancy.

Is this the doctors fault or my fate?

I am just sick and tired thinking how many times should I go thr' this pain.

Thanks for ur reply.
Now I have decided to get an appointment everymonth on my 32nd day just to make sure I see the doctor irrespective of whether i am pregnant or not.
In this way I could make sure, they test my levels and also I can have a word with doctor directly instead of speaking to a nurse on phone.

Also I have a question.
Can I start trying as soon as my bleeding stops or should I wait next cycle.

I have heard of SOoooo many people on clomid needing to be on progesterone supplements during the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.  I know for an unmedicated pregnancy it should be above 20....and I think that should be the "norm" for ALL pregnancies, although I have not done research on medicated preogesterone levels.
I am so sorry for your loss and it is so unfortunate if you lost your pregnancy due to low Prog levels.  I m/c 2 years ago due to what I believe were low levels....and when a dr doesnt listen to you it becomes very upsetting.  Dont give up hope!  4 months after my m/c I got pregnant and got my levels tested right away....low and behold I need the supplements just as I suspected.  I now have a very healthy 15 mo!!

It may be negligence on your dr's part...but it would be so hard to prove because drs are putting the rates of miscarriage in the first 12 weeks at close to 50% I'm so sorry you're going through this and hoe your next jelly sticks.
