Pain in hand.

I'm 29 weeks will be 30 weeks tomorrow. I'be currently been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I also have high blood pressure. My left hand has been numb for about a week now and my middle and ring finger hurt extremely bad almost feels like they are broken. Does anyone know what could be causing this. Ive read you can get carpal tunnel while being pregnant but I though carpal tunnel affected your wrists more.

I have the exact same thing!!!
34wks and have suffered for a month or so.. it gets worse at night, my arms feel weak from the elbow down. I experience pins/needles, numb finger tips and my knuckles feel very stiff and painful (esp my middle finger) .. they often get stuck when I bend them!
Ive been told its carpal tunnel syndrome and that it will go once bub arrives, its due to swelling in the wrist/hands and compressing nerves. It is very unpleasant though!!

My wrists is definitely swollen not much but I can tell. I don't use left hand often I'm right handed. I don't use computer or anything that would put a lot of strain on wrist or fingers. Heat is the only thing that relieves pain.

Has your wrist/watchband become snug?  As that could cutoff some blood circulation to your hand and contribute to numbness.

Are you left handed, and/or use your fingers quite a bit?  Overuse, especially involving harsh vibration like keyboarding, can lead to knuckle damage (osteoarthritic joints are very painful but they usually are easy to spot as they're also swollen).  Does heat somewhat relieve your finger pain?

You might try:  regularly massaging your hand and fingers; and flexing your hand and fingers from time to time, towards improving it's flexibility and blood circulation.
