Painful pressure

I'm almost 19 weeks and I have felt my baby moving around alot lately, but sometime I get a really strong painful pressure in my uterus. This is my second pregnancy and I do not remember experiencing this with my first. She is almost 4 years old so I don't know if I just forgot or if this is something new I am experiencing. It's very painful and I don't know if it is the baby moving around in an awkward position or if it is BH contractions. It hurts so bad that it wakes me up at night and BH don't hurt. ( I don't think.) Should I be concerned or is this normal?

Check w/ your doc to be safe. I started feeling my baby move around 16-18wks. They are still very small so movement isn't something you will feel often right now. I got scared when I didn't feel him move and I was 22 wks and that's what they told me (he was still real small so I might not feel him all the time). Also the cramping can be your uterus stretching to make room for the baby, I had it all the time and it was bad enough to wake me up too. 4 yrs ago isn't that long ago but I was pregnant 4yrs ago too and I am always wondering if I felt this then or that then, I don't remember lol. I am now 29wks and once you get to this point you will feel the baby ALL THE TIME. Talk to your doc to be safe though.

I am 18 weeks pregnant and have had ALOT of cramping. Early on I swore I was miscarrying, it felt just like I was going to start my period. I still have cramps that keep me up at night sometimes. I told my doctor on two visits and he said not to worry unless it is severe and/or comes with bleeding. As far as the sharps pains that is probably what is called "round ligament pain." It's the stretching of the ligaments that hold up your uterus. I have a lot of that as well, down on either side of the uterus to my pubic bone area. It is the worst after I urinate (because when your bladder is full it supports your uterus then when you urinate the ligaments stretch out again!) Sometimes I can't even stand up for a second. I have read this is normal. And since it has been 4 years since your last pregnancy I am sure everything tightened back up!!! Good Luck :-)

It's not in my stomach though. It's my uterus. The other day I was having severe sharp pains. It scared me but I didn't know if it was normal and I was overreacting or if I should have went to the dr. I have the painful pressure about 10 times a day now. It really hurts!

Can be BH or also just good ol' stomach cramps. The best thing you can do is go to the doc and ask her/him whatsup
