So on Sunday I went to the hospital because my contractions were 5 minutes apart  only to get sent home for being only 3cm dilated  but my question isn't it my right to tell them to induce me!

You can ask but they may not do it because your due date is only estimated.

If you're over 39 weeks then they might consider inducing you but it just depends on the policy of the hospital & most hospitals will send you home if you're not at least 4cm dilated.
