Post partum, Can I go swimming?

I just want to spend some time with my son, I'll be 1wk post partum on Saturday. Im not really bleeding anymore, I didn't tear. Is it safe to swim?

Very :) and the physical activity will help tighten you back up :) (your belly, I wont talk about the hooha lol)

Remember not to use a tampon because of risk of infection.  :) my fear would be to leave a trail of blood in the water. Lol

I figure I'll be done bleeding completely by the weekend, I barely bleed. Tampons sound horrific right now anyways. Lol, and she sleeps decent. Every 3hrs to 4hrs she eats, it's the daytime with my 20 month old that's the hardest. He's a handful. Lol

You're fine, like it was said before it'll benefit you.
I'm a swimming instructor. Blood in the water doesn't matter if you do happen to bleed, the chlorine kills anything in the blood. Blood is sterile anyways.
